Presentation:
Oriantheatre is an independent international dance & theatre company, formed by Mehdi Farajpour as Artistic director in Iran 2002. Later the company has moved to France and established as a French company based in Paris. The company works as an international network of artists from different nationalities.
 As the name of the company reveals itself (Orian = Coverless), its first point in producing performances is being honest as possible with the audience. This honesty starts from very beginning of a creation process; from concept and text to stage design and choreography, etc. But the themes that we are mostly challenging with are not that simple.
 However, The company’s late target has become searching a new language in bodily expressions. This matter leads us to study on the effects of society’s pressures on human’s body. A research which is being combined by some post war Art styles such as Butoh in our performances.
 Oriantheatre is open to intercultural exchanges and coprodutions with similar companies both in France and abroad.

Présentation:

Orianthéâtre est un groupe international de danse et de théâtre fondé par Mehdi Farajpour. Il s’installe en France en 2009 et s’oriente vers des formes expérimentales de performances artistiques. L’ensemble des productions sont créées suivant une méthode qui croise danse et théâtre. Mehdi Farajpour est le directeur artistique et conçoit l’ensemble des dispositifs scéniques et chorégraphique.
La compagnie collabore avec des artistes d’horizon et de pays très différents. Art plastique, vidéo et musique sont régulièrement mis à contribution. C’est le caractère interculturel, les tensions et point de vue parfois opposé des différents artistes qui nourissent Orianthéâtre.
L’objectif principal de la compagnie se concentre sur la création d’une nouvelle forme de théâtre physique dans lequel prédomine une recherche attentive de la danse.
Orianthéâtre collabore avec des artistes internationaux, des entreprises, des institutions et des festivals.
