Note of director, Choreographer:
Some people live in their past life, beside the memories. Some other, live in the future, beside the dreams. So, they all loose the present time. I say,

Krapp: “Perhaps my best years are gone. When there was a chance of happiness. But I wouldn`t want them back. Not with the fire in me now. No, I wouldn`t want them back. I end… I end…I …end”

“Krapp`s last tape” by Samuel Beckett
Retold, Directed & choreographed by Mehdi Farajpour
Before to start creating BECKETT, for almost 5 years, Krapp has been circulating in my head in order to find a proper way to expose itself. But I never let it till I have got an occasion to work on the main concept in Hoyoong Perfoming Arts center in south Korea 2008. No need to say that Samuel Beckett is a particular writer. It s hard to feel free as director in the atmosphere which is created by Him. He does not let you to do what you will. Sooner or later, you will find yourself caught in the world made up by Samuel Beckett and I did want to challenge this. The most interesting way to start this challenge was to challenge on the Text. It tried to go such deeper till few words, silence and movement/dance….
