Immortal Island
(Poland, June 2008)
This project is a fruit of my workshop with almost 20 participants from Italy, Poland, Slovenia and Finland. The workshop was entitled “The corpse of mine” and it was about “Butoh and concentrative body”. The fascinating Opolecity was hosted the project and I conducted a 10 session workshop. As the name of performance promises, it was about inhabitants of an islance that they are not able to die. They struggle all the time to puff a candle as a symbol of life, which was inside of a cage. But it was impossible. Anyway, If they success to blow off the candle, they could rest for remaining of the world. But …
